In principle, you can call up our Internet offer and view the voucher offer without providing us with personal data. You are free to decide at any time whether you wish to provide us with your data.
If you would like to use a voucher on iamstudent, it is necessary for you to provide personal data. This data is the e-mail address. At iamstudent we also ask for the matriculation number, the university, and if available a university e-mail address and the course of study. Other personal data may be requested by iamstudent in individual cases. Further personal data such as address and telephone number can be provided voluntarily by you in a second step and are used, among other things, for the dispatch of prizes, voucher booklets, or for prize notifications in competitions.
We collect, process, and use your transmitted personal data to the extent permitted by law, in compliance with the GDPR, and only with your consent during registration. iamstudent collects, processes, and uses the personal data of its registered users, especially name and email address. This data is used in compliance with the GDPR only to process the redemption (if necessary) of vouchers and in the cases listed below. Each redemption of a voucher may be followed by an online survey on the part of iamstudent, which serves to ensure the quality of service. The user will be invited to participate by mail. Participation is voluntary. iamstudent uses your personal data only for technical administration of the websites and to fulfill your wishes and requirements. iamstudent does not disclose the customer's personal data to third parties, unless the customer has expressly consented to the disclosure or iamstudent is required by law or court order to disclose personal data, or the third parties are contractual partners of iamstudent, who use them to process the contract (eg shipping companies, payment processing). The transfer of personal data of the customer to the third parties is limited to the extent necessary for the execution of the contract. 4. Your rights within the framework of the GDPR
4.1 Right to information

4.5 Revocation of consent
Any data processing that takes place based on the user's consent may be discontinued as soon as this consent is revoked. The revocation can be made at any time and with effect for the future. The revocation must be made in writing (mail is sufficient), as we are obliged to store the consent given.
5. Registration on iamstudent
On our website, we offer the possibility to register by providing personal data. The data is entered in an input mask and transmitted to us and stored. The data is not passed on to third parties. The following data is collected during the registration process:

- University/school/apprenticing company
- Matriculation number (if available)
- The course of study (if available)
- University e-mail address (if available)
Name, gender, address, and birthday are to be provided voluntarily.
As a user, you have the option to cancel the registration at any time and to delete or have deleted stored personal data at any time.
Duration of data storage: The data will be stored until you delete your account with us. This is possible at any time in your account profile.
5.1 Registration with Facebook
In addition to the classic registration via mail, it is also possible to register using the social plugin "Facebook Connect" from Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Facebook"). When you call up a page on our website, your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook's servers. This is done to log you in automatically on a recurring visit, provided you have logged in via Facebook registration. Through this call, Facebook receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged in to Facebook. 6. Use of iamstudent
For the use of our platform, it is stored which actions a user sets or which coupons, competitions or other elements of the website the user sees or visits. This data is used for statistical purposes and to improve the user experience.
There are forms on our website that can be used for electronic contact.
