Da w\u00e4re zum einen <strong>M\u00fclltrennung und Recycling im Haushalt<\/strong>. Warum das so wichtig ist?<\/p>\n<p>Nehmen wir mal das Beispiel einer Getr\u00e4nkedose. Im Vergleich zur Neuproduktion werden f\u00fcr den Recyclingprozess einer Dose <strong>95% weniger Energie<\/strong> ben\u00f6tigt. Au\u00dferdem spart Recycling jede Menge Ressourcen und mit jedem Kilogramm Aluminium, das recycelt wird, werden <strong>ca. 8,5 kg Treibhausgas<\/strong> <strong>gespart<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus wird aus leeren Getr\u00e4nkedosen neues Aluminium gewonnen, das f\u00fcr viele andere Produkte wiederverwendet werden kann (z.B. f\u00fcr deinen F\u00f6n, dein Smartphone oder dein Fahrrad). Dank Recycling k\u00f6nnen also <strong>wertvolle Rohstoffvorkommen geschont<\/strong> und Energie in der Produktion eingespart werden \u2013 das ist definitiv gut f\u00fcr Mutter Erde.<\/p>\n<p>Korrekte M\u00fclltrennung ist also auf jeden Fall ein Muss! <strong>Plastikflaschen, Dosen, Tetra Pak (diese drei Dinge d\u00fcrfen gemeinsam entsorgt werden), Papier, Bio- sowie Restm\u00fcll<\/strong> sind die Klassiker, die eigentlich jeder im Haushalt voneinander trennen sollte. Alles, was nicht im Hausm\u00fcll entsorgt werden darf, kommt auf den Mistplatz.<\/p>\n<p>Und hast du dich eigentlich schon mal gefragt, ob dein Stromanbieter nachhaltig ist? Falls nicht, solltest du das im Sinne des Umweltbewusstseins tun. Zumal es einige Anbieter gibt, die <strong>nachhaltigen Strom\u00a0<\/strong>im Sortiment f\u00fchren. F\u00fcr \u00d6sterreich sind das zum Beispiel die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iamstudent.at\/oekostrom-gutscheine?ic=greenweeks_blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">oekostrom AG<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iamstudent.at\/aae-naturstrom-gutscheine?ic=greenweeks_blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AAE Naturstrom<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Aber selbst wer nachhaltigen Strom aus erneuerbaren Quellen bezieht, kann noch mehr tun, und zwar hier und da den Stecker ziehen. Generell solltest du darauf achten, elektrische Ger\u00e4te <strong>so wenig wie m\u00f6glich im<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Standby-Modus<\/strong>\u00a0zu haben, diese sollten besser ganz vom Netz getrennt werden. Auch Ladeger\u00e4te, die gerade nicht in Verwendung sind, saugen Energie, wenn sie an der Steckdose bleiben.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c4hnlich verh\u00e4lt es sich beim Licht. Also einfach immer das Licht ausmachen, wenn du ein Zimmer oder gar die Wohnung verl\u00e4sst. <strong>LED-Birnen und -Lampen<\/strong> sind \u00fcbrigens die nachhaltigste Lichtquelle.<\/p>\n<p>Ebenso solltest du\u00a0<strong>Wasser sparen<\/strong>, wo es nur geht, um dieses wertvolle Gut nicht zu verschwenden. Beim H\u00e4ndewaschen, Duschen und Absp\u00fclen also immer den\u00a0Wasserhahn abdrehen, wenn das Wasser gerade nicht flie\u00dfen muss. Au\u00dferdem kannst du dich mal mit der <strong>Auffrisch-Funktion deiner Waschmaschine<\/strong> bekannt machen. Dank dieser Reinigung mit Dampf bekommen Kleidungsst\u00fccke eine Frische-Kur verpasst und k\u00f6nnen weitergetragen werden ohne sie zu waschen und dabei Unmengen an Wasser zu verbrauchen.<\/p>\n<p>Auch vor der Haust\u00fcre kannst du bewusste Entscheidungen f\u00fcr die Rettung des menschenfreundlichen Klimas machen. Dazu geh\u00f6ren sowohl direkte Emissionen wie z.B. aus dem Magen freigesetztes Methan bei Rindern, vor allem aber Emissionen bei der Futtererzeugung inklusive Abholzungen zur Landumwandlung.<\/li>\n<li>Vor allem Wiederk\u00e4uer haben einen extrem hohen CO2-Aussto\u00df: Pro Kilo Rindfleisch werden umgerechnet 13,3 Kilo CO2 freigesetzt. Zum Vergleich: Die gleiche Menge Mischbrot produziert 0,75 Kilo CO2, \u00c4pfel 0,5 Kilo CO2 und Tomaten 0,2 Kilo CO2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2013 so nachzulesen bei <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.de\/themen\/landwirtschaft\/fleischeslust-was-das-stuck-lebenskraft-tatsachlich-kostet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Greenpeace Deutschland<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ein weiteres Problem unserer Ern\u00e4hrung ist das Speisefett <strong>Palm\u00f6l<\/strong>, das vielen unserer Lebensmittel \u2013 im \u00fcbertragenen Sinn \u2013 einen bitteren Beigeschmack zuf\u00fcgt. Laut <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwf.de\/themen-projekte\/landwirtschaft\/produkte-aus-der-landwirtschaft\/palmoel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">WWF<\/a> enth\u00e4lt etwa jedes zweite Produkt in einem handels\u00fcblichen Supermarkt Palm\u00f6l \u2013 es steckt in Nutella, zahlreichen S\u00fc\u00dfigkeiten, T\u00fctensuppen und Keksen, aber auch in Waschmitteln, Cremes und Lippenstift.<\/p>\n<p>Problematisch ist Palm\u00f6l vor allem deswegen, weil es weltweit extrem viel Anbaufl\u00e4che einnimmt bzw. weil wegen der erh\u00f6hten Nachfrage weiterhin neue Anbaufl\u00e4chen geschaffen werden. Im Zuge dessen kommt es zu <strong>Rodungen des Regenwaldes<\/strong>, was wiederum dazu f\u00fchrt, dass <strong>bedrohte Tierarten<\/strong> wie Orang Utans oder Tiger weiter an Lebensraum verlieren und ihre <strong>Existenz massiv bedroht<\/strong> wird.<\/p>\n<p>Was also kannst du in Sachen Ern\u00e4hrung tun?<\/p>\n<p>Zum einen auf jeden Fall <strong>weniger Fleisch konsumieren<\/strong>.\u00a0Laut dem\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/waterfootprint.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Water Footprint Network<\/a> entspricht der Wasserfu\u00dfabdruck von 200 g Rindfleisch etwa 47 Acht-Minuten-Duschen und verbraucht viermal mehr Wasser als die gleiche Menge H\u00fchnerfleisch. Ein reduzierter Fleischkonsum f\u00fchrt also sowohl zu einem <strong>weniger hohen CO2-Aussto\u00df<\/strong> als auch zu einem <strong>sparsameren Verbrauch<\/strong> der wertvollen Ressource <strong>Wasser<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist es am nachhaltigsten, sich <strong>saisonal zu ern\u00e4hren<\/strong> sowie <strong>Lebensmittel\u00a0regional zu beziehen<\/strong>. Anbieter biologischer und regionaler Lebensmittel\u00a0wie zum Beispiel das\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bioschatzkistl.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bioschatzkistl<\/a>, der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adamah.at\/Home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ADAMAH Biohof<\/a> oder der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bioigel.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bioigel<\/a> helfen dir dabei, indem sie Produkte vom Bio-Bauern als Abo direkt zu dir nach Hause liefern.<\/p>\n<p>Was das Palm\u00f6l angeht, geht es wie bei vielen nachhaltigen Themen zun\u00e4chst einmal um die Auseinandersetzung mit unserem eigenen Verhalten sowie folglich um einen <strong>bewussteren Konsum von S\u00fc\u00df- und Knabberwaren, Fertiggerichten und Co<\/strong>. Auch hier lautet die Devise: Weniger ist mehr. Der blo\u00dfe Austausch von Palm\u00f6l durch andere Pflanzen\u00f6le l\u00f6st die Probleme n\u00e4mlich nicht, sondern verlagert sie nur. Andere Pflanzen\u00f6le ben\u00f6tigen ebenso wie Palm\u00f6l viel Fl\u00e4che. Es f\u00fchrt also kein Weg daran vorbei, den Anbau grunds\u00e4tzlich umwelt- und sozialvertr\u00e4glicher zu gestalten.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr dich als Konsument bedeutet das, darauf zu achten was in den Lebensmitteln, die du kaufst, drinsteckt. Sowie sich bei kritischen Produkten etwas mehr einzuschr\u00e4nken.
